The WTHN February Essentials
Beauty, food, and fitness - Let's recap our favorite products and practices from February that made us feel our best self!
Beauty
This has been my favorite daily moisturizer that doubles as sunscreen: La Roche-Posay I love the SPF, it feels light, it is a perfect base for makeup.
Put these Pixi Beautif-eye patches in the fridge, trust me! They feel amazing after waking up with puffy eyes and help me look like I got more sleep.
This Rare Beauty highlighter in shade mesmerize is the best because of how dewy and light it is. A little goes a long way, so this product will last me for some time!
Food
Grillo's Pickles. The best crunchy, tangy, crispy, yummy, and healthy snack. Get your hands on these immediately.
Cashew milk has won MVP for nut-milks this month. It is so creamy in coffees, matcha, and overnight oats (I recommend the Elmhurst brand). It also contains healthy fats!
I have been loving homemade skyr parfaits; skyr is so much creamier than regular yogurt and is packed with protein. My favorite flavors are vanilla, plain, and blueberry (from Siggi's)!
Fitness
Abs Post Cardio
Including a quick 5-10 minute ab session after my runs has been making me feel amazing. I notice increased core strength and stability.
I have gone through many pairs of running shoes, and these have by far won the award for the best all around. The Hoka Clifton 8 shoes provide amazing comfort, cushion, and support for any type of exercise.
Podcasts > Music during a workout
I made the switch from music to podcasts during my outdoor runs and it helps with my longevity/stamina. Podcasts help engage me with an actual story, lesson, or motive and keep me running for longer without stopping!
